This updates the copyright headers to include 2025. I did this by
running gdb/copyright.py and then manually modifying a few files as
noted by the script.

This commit is the result of the following actions:
- Running gdb/copyright.py to update all of the copyright headers to
include 2024,
- Manually updating a few files the copyright.py script told me to
update, these files had copyright headers embedded within the
file,
- Regenerating gdbsupport/Makefile.in to refresh it's copyright
date,
- Using grep to find other files that still mentioned 2023. If
these files were updated last year from 2022 to 2023 then I've
updated them this year to 2024.
I'm sure I've probably missed some dates. Feel free to fix them up as
you spot them.
This commit is the result of running the gdb/copyright.py script,
which automated the update of the copyright year range for all
source files managed by the GDB project to be updated to include
year 2023.
There's no need for these settings to be in sim-main.h which is shared
with common/ sim code, so drop the bfin.h include and move the remaining
bfin-specific settings into it.
This commit brings all the changes made by running gdb/copyright.py
as per GDB's Start of New Year Procedure.
For the avoidance of doubt, all changes in this commits were
performed by the script.
The sim-basics.h is too big and includes too many things. This leads
to some arch's sim-main.h having circular loop issues with defs, and
makes it hard to separate out common objects from arch-specific defs.
By splitting up sim-basics.h and killing off sim-main.h, it'll make
it easier to separate out the two.
We have ALIGN_{8,16,PAGE} and FLOOR_PAGE macros (where PAGE is defined as
4k) which were imported from the ppc sim. But no other sim utilizes these
and hardcoding the sizes in the name is a bit limiting.
Let's delete these and import the two general macros that gdb uses:
align_up(addr, bytes)
align_down(addr, bytes)
This in turn allows us to cut over the Blackfin code immediately.
This commits the result of running gdb/copyright.py as per our Start

Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid
copyright header
(gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc).
As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit
leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header
was sent to gcc-patches first.

The current machs.h mixes common enums with Blackfin-specific defines.
This causes us troubles with header inclusion order such that we can't
drop the old SIM_CPU typedef (which is duplicated in common code). By
splitting the two up, we can unwind this dependency chain, and drop the
old typedef. It also fixes building with older gcc versions.
The bfin/msp430 ports already had trace logic set up for reading/writing
cpu registers, albeit using different unrelated levels (core & vpu). Add
a proper register class for these and for other ports.
The Blackfin port had some TRACE_xxx macros for easily logging trace data.
Use these as a base for common ones that have a simple form and match the
existing sets of helper macros.
Since every target typedefs this the same way, move it to the common code.
We have to leave Blackfin behind here for now because of inter-dependencies
on types and headers: sim-base.h includes sim-model.h which needs types in
machs.h which needs types in bfim-sim.h which needs SIM_CPU.
Almost every target defines sim_cia the same way -- either using the
address_word type directly, or a type of equivalent size. The only
odd one out is sh64 (who has 32bit address_word and 64bit cia), and
even that case doesn't seem to make sense. We'll put off clean up
though of sh64 and at least set up a sensible default for everyone.
The CIA_{GET,SET} macros serve the same function as CPU_PC_{GET,SET}
except the latter adds a layer of indirection via the sim state. This
lets models set up different functions at runtime and doesn't reach so
directly into the arch-specific cpu state.
It also doesn't make sense to have two sets of macros that do exactly
the same thing, so lets standardize on the one that gets us more.
Now that all the targets are utilizing CPU_PC_{FETCH,STORE}, and the
cpu state is multicore, and the STATE_CPU defines match, we can move
it all to the common code.
This removes the last uses of PARAMS from sim.

Two modifications:
1. The addition of 2013 to the copyright year range for every file;
2. The use of a single year range, instead of potentially multiple
year ranges, as approved by the FSF.
Now that the common code supports the syscall trace level, change the
Blackfin code from using the event level to the syscall level.

This can boot Das U-Boot and a Linux kernel. It also supports Linux
userspace FLAT and FDPIC (dynamic and static) ELFs.
